Ethical Decisions Questions

1. If I were interviewing a high government official about a bribery scheme and came across some paperwork that has to do with the case while the government official is not in the office, I would ask her about them when she returns back into the office. I would not steal or read the papers. When the government official returns I would ask her about them to see if she could give me information about the papers.

2. I am not sure if I would get a job as an orderly at a local nursing home, and write a story based on my experience. I could get into a lawsuit or even have my career ruined if I did. I could also however, end up with a real good story and could help a lot of people. Overall I most likely would not get an undercover job as an orderly, at a local nursing home, because I would be too afraid of the risks.

3. If I were writing a feature story and find some good quotes form another written source I would definitely credit the quotes from the written source in my story. If I obtained some good quotes online and decided to use them, I would also credit my sources too.
