Duane LaChance suffered serious third degree burns and is in the intensive care unit. He was installing new pipes on the roof of a power plant at the Springfield Municipal Power Plant when he accidentally touched a power line yesterday.

Wayne Clay, 19 struck the vehicle of James W. Cunning, 20, at 11:45 am today, a mile north of Blue Ridge Road. Cunning is in satisfactory condition at Springfield Hospital.

#2 - The news is that someone was injured in a car accident. Start there, not with the accident itself.
