News Story 2

Cathedral Robbery

A robbery occurred at gunpoint today in the parking lot of Saint Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco. Police Sergeant Lawrence Price stated that the people that were robbed were tourists visiting from Taiwan. The two victims were Wei Ming Chen 28, and Li Lu 30.

The victims stated that they were with their tour group that morning and left at around 10am and walked to the cathedrals lower parking lot where they were taking pictures. A man approached them wearing a black jacket and hat and waved a pistol around demanding their money. Chen described the thief of being around eighteen years old. Chen handed over his money which was about $100. The thief wanted more money so Chen gave him his Visa card their passports, camera and airline and tickets. The suspect took off running.

No one knows if the couple was able to make their 1 p.m. flight back to Taipei. The whole tour group which was about 30 employees of a Taiwan airline was scheduled to leave then. Police is now on a search to find the suspect.

OK, instead of telling me a robbery occurred, get right into the 5W-1H of the story...tell me:

Two tourists were robbed at gunpoint outside Saint Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco yesterday morning. (Note that that's a delayed identification lead, which you'd use because they're not well-known.)

Then identify the victims in paragraph 2 and go with the most important info first (waving a gun, demanding money, what got taken).

Then give us the description of the robber (since it's not very identifying anyway). Put your "police searching for suspect" sentence here (and fix it).

Close with the rest.
