Lead 1- A local couple was awarded $150,000 in damages yesterday, at the Butte County Court after they sued from injuries, from a traffic accident that they were in during the month of March.
Lead 2- Forecasters say another violent snowstorm which is a part of a series of snowstorms is expected to hit the Sierras today.
Lead 3- Police reported that 41 families were evacuated and three firefighters were injured today, as a fire roared from a six story building at 204 Union Ave.

#2 - Start with the storm, not the forecasters (it's the storm that's news).
#3 - Start with the firefighters, not the police. Put the attribution at the end of the sentence.
